Dora has a fairly typical story, found as a kitten with her brother, kept for a couple years and is now moving and can't take the cats.  She is very curious - hence her name Dora the Explorer.  Dora is very affectionate and likes to give sandpaper kisses in return for loving on her.

Volunteer Update:  Dora is a "pet begger" and she's very good at it.  Just look at her and she'll roll on her side or back, knead her paws and look up at you with longing eyes.  She absolutely loves affection of any kind.

Since Sheltering Hands home delivers each adopted cat, all adopters must live in the North Central Florida area.  Thank you for understanding. You can meet this wonderful kitty by appointment with an approved application.  Pre-adopt applications are available here:   If you have additional questions you can email Sheltering Hands at
