Ocala, FL- Sheltering Hands Inc., a cornerstone in providing feline spay/neuter and adoption services in Marion County since 2007, announces a significant milestone in its journey towards greater impact and sustainability. The organization proudly introduces the creation of its Executive Director position, marking a pivotal moment in its history of service to the community.

 

Sheltering Hands Inc. has long been recognized for its commitment to animal welfare. It offers vital services such as a low-cost spay/neuter clinic, adoption services, community outreach initiatives, and dedicated feral housing and colony support. As part of the CATT Marion coalition, the organization has provided crucial Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) services to manage and care for community cat populations in Marion County.

April LeSage, a valued Board member of Sheltering Hands Inc. for several years, has served in key leadership roles, including Treasurer and Secretary. She has been an integral part of the organization's TNR programs and played a pivotal role in creating CATT Marion to address TNR in the county. With a background in organizational management, operations, and fiscal management, April is well-suited for the position of Executive Director.
