Foster
Foster homes provide temporary care for cats and kittens until they can be placed by Sheltering Hands into their new, formal forever homes.
Fostering provides a second chance for many stray, abandoned or homeless kitties.
Sheltering Hands provides support, medications, food and litter as needed, and absorbs all medical expenses associated with the care of our kitties.
Responsibilities Include
Provide a separate indoor space for the foster cats/kittens
with clean bedding, food, water and litter
Spend time each day playing, and socializing, with the cats/kittens
Provide toys and safe, engaging play activities to enrich the lives of the cat(s)
Honor scheduled appointments for vaccinations or
other medical care and maintain accurate records
Send cute pictures to website administrator posting on Sheltering Hands website or social media sites
Provide transportation
to/from adoption events
and appointments
Identify and report the cat's personality/behaviors to the adoption team to help us make the best possible match with a human
